This is an engaging and educational Career Day designed for pupils in senior primary school to explore diverse career opportunities. The event features professionals from various fields sharing their career journeys and a fun quiz competition with career-focused questions. Through this initiative, we aim to:
- Open young minds to different career possibilities.
- Help children discover how their skills and interests align with careers.
- Show how careers can be a tool for solving societal challenges.
- Encourage academic focus and reduce school drop-out rates.
MY COMMUNITY AND I
This is a career guidance programme designed for JSS3 (Year 9) students as they transition from basic education to post-basic education. At this critical stage, students make their first major career decisions, shaping their future paths. The programme helps students understand the importance of work and equips them with essential career decision-making skills. Through thought-provoking discussions and practical guidance, we empower them to ask the right questions, explore their options, and confidently plan their future. Our goal is to facilitate a smooth and informed career decision-making process, ensuring that every student moves forward with clarity and confidence.
MY CAREER MY FUTURE
This is an online and physical Careers Fair which brings students in senior secondary schools, as well as their parents and teachers, in contact with employers and post-secondary institutions from different spheres of the economy. It aims to serve two important purposes;
- Bring current industry leaders in contact with future industry leaders
- Give the students a vision for their future by widening their horizons to see the myriad post-secondary school opportunities available to them.
ANNUAL GIRLS CAREER CONFERENCE
This event is tagged “My Career My Cycle: Balancing my Productivity and my Reproductive Health” and is targeted at girls in secondary school. The aim of this conference is to give young ladies the necessary information needed to succeed in their careers, laying special emphasis on how their reproductive cycles/health could positively or negatively affect their career growth.
ANNUAL BOYS CAREER CONFERENCE
This event is tagged “Boyz2Men: Becoming the Equivalent Man” and is targeted at young lads in secondary school. The conference aims to equip young men with the essential knowledge, values, and tools necessary for career success while addressing potential obstacles which are peculiar to men. It seeks to guide them toward responsible decision-making, personal growth, and professional excellence.
